“The artist is the confidant of nature, flowers carry on dialogues with him through the graceful bending of their stems and the harmoniously tinted nuances of their blossoms. Every flower has a cordial word which nature directs towards him.”

Auguste Rodin

For over 20 years, Historic Royal Palaces have been hosting Florimania for Mother’s Day weekend at Hampton Court Palace. Each year, the King’s Apartments are filled with elaborate flower arrangements designed by the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies to celebrate Spring.

In 2019 Historic Royal Palaces collaborated with the Royal School of Needlework to present “Embroidered Treasures of Hampton Court Palace,” a showcase of some of the most splendid florally-inspired items from both collections. Each treasure on display was  thoughtfully interpreted by an accompanying arrangement of beautiful flowers.

I was commissioned to create a ‘logo’ for the exhibition which was used on the event banner and across all marketing materials from tickets, leaflets and posters to display signage and badges.
