I took some time off during the summer as my boys were on school summer break. We did lots of fun things such as visiting the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition where my son and his friend were highly amused by a performance artist (!); a visit to another RA exhibition Matisse in the Studio and a two week break in Portugal! During the break I continued my family history research and painted some of my vintage tin collection. My first one 'Tiz for tender feet' belonged to my Granny Schonland and the rest I have found at antique fairs. I look forward to creating more illustrations based on my family history research. I am really inspired by the moody greens colour palette in the below illustration I think I'm going to base a new collection on it so please do watch this space!
